FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q1. What does a typical session look like?
Counseling sessions typically last 50 minutes. Sessions usually begin by providing information about the previous week and setting a goal or an intention for the session. Then, we will work together using CBT and MI techniques to develop solutions to the problems that brought you into therapy. We will close the session by summarizing what was discussed and assigning tasks for you to work on between sessions.
Q2. How often will we meet and how long will I be in therapy?
This answer depends largely on what type of challenges you are facing and how long you have been struggling before seeking support. Typically, clients see the most success when they meet with me weekly. Therapy typically lasts between eight and twelve weeks. Therapy may be shorter if symptoms are mild or longer for more complex issues.
Q3. I work during the day. Do you offer evening or weekend hours?
Yes! I see clients in the office Monday: 5-8pm and Thursday 5-8pm. I offer early morning tele-therapy appointments on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7-8am. Saturday appointments are reserved for emergency sessions only.
Q4. How much does each session cost?
Sessions are $120. All fees are due at the time of service. I accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards
Q5. Do you offer a sliding scale fee?
I do not offer a sliding scale fee. In an effort to make sessions affordable for all, I have a few slots for those who qualify. Please go to www.openpathcollective.org to see if those slots are open and for more information.
Q6. Do you accept insurance?
I accept BCBSNC. I am not currently in network with any other insurance companies. I am happy to provide you with a form you can send in to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. That means you're responsible for the fee at the time of our appointment and, depending on your plan, a certain percentage of that may be paid to you by your insurance company.
I encourage all clients using this option to talk to their insurance provider regarding their out of network benefits.
Q7. How do I make an appointment?
I offer 24/7 scheduling via the website. This allows you to schedule quickly at a time that is convinient to you. Once you've scheduled, I will follow up with a quick email containing paperwork and next steps. To learn more visit http://www.samanthamichelleosborne.com/make-an-appointment/. You can also call 828.970.1651 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. I do my best to return calls and emails within 24 hours.
