I often here potential clients say that they do not have enough time to devote to therapy. Digging deeper, I hear that while they are concerned about time, they are often equally concerned about confidentiality. They tell me that they aren't able to take time off of work for regular therapy because they fear that people at the office will ask questions about their absences.
Unfortunately, mental health diagnoses like depression and anxiety continue to be surrounded in stigma. Despite my assurances that their health information is legally protected and private, people still fear that there will be consequences for attending to their mental wellness.
Online counseling is an alternative to traditional therapy that addresses these concerns. Online counseling is a convenient and confidential form of therapy. Clients with a computer and an internet connection can receive therapy from the comfort of their homes. I offer early morning, evening and weekend appointments to accomodate even the busiest of schedules. If time or fear has been holding you back from seeking help, please give me a call. I would love to support you on your journey to wellness.
To participate in online therapy, you will need access to a high-speed internet connection, a webcam, and a private place to conduct sessions.Once we have scheduled an appointment, I will send you intake forms, and I will provide detailed instructions to access the online platform. Because of state regulations, I am only able to accept clients that reside in the state of North Carolina.
If you live in North Carolina, and you are interested in online therapy, I would love to hear from you. You can reach me via phone at 828.970.1651 or you can make an appointment below.
